You are never too young to learn about veterinary medicine! Dr. Kartley, Chris, and her dog Reese visited Berkshire Middle school to talk about veterinary medicine with the 6th grade science students in Mrs. Warner's class.
Educating the community and our local youth has been a longstanding value for Dr. Kartley. Together, they held 8 informational sessions between four classes of students. Dr. Kartley spoke about how she uses science to help her patients, demonstrated a blood draw on Reese, and talked about the components of blood and their uses. Chris talked about her dog Reese, the care he gets, and cool topics and diseases in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Kartley and Chris have known each other for over 15 years as Chris started shadowing Dr. Kartley in 2010. Aspiring to become a veterinarian herself, Chris loves educating the community as well, proudly following in the footsteps of her longstanding mentor Dr. Kartley.
