At Aurora Animal Care Community, we're not just a veterinary clinic, we are your passionate neighbors advocating for the health and happiness of animals throughout our community. The human-animal bond has created a world where protecting animals extends to include the health and well-being of the people that love and care for them.
Community is built upon collaboration and trust. We highly value the work our police and fire dogs provide to our communities by sponsoring their care. Our practice also supports local shelters through fundraising often with a fun community twist. Hosting educational events for our clients as well as the surrounding community allows us to share our knowledge about animal health topics. These are not only for the pets but for the people who love them as well.
How We Give Back:
Sponsoring veterinary care and health insurance for our active duty Aurora, Streetsboro, and Mantua Police K9s and Fire & Explosive Investigations Bureau K9's
- We have been sponsoring our local K9s since 1997
- These dedicated heroes work tirelessly, serving alongside their handlers to keep our communities safe. By making sure they receive the highest standard of veterinary care, we are giving back to those who protect and serve us in the most selfless ways.
- Santa Paws Comes to Aurora Veterinary Clinic
- We welcomed clients in early December for photos with Santa Paws! All proceeds went to local animal shelters
- Adopting families throughout our community and participating in Operation Christmas Child during the holiday season
- In cooperation with Samaritan's Purse, our staff purchased items to fill shoe boxes to help children in need
- Pasadena Humane fundraiser for the California Wildfires
- We hosted a month long raffle and monetary donation drive in support of Pasadena Humane's efforts in helping the pets affected by the California Wildfires
- Free Puppy Class for our Clients
- We welcomed clients and their new additions to our Mantua Veterinary Clinic Location for a free puppy class on us!
Veterinary Student Externship Program: Historically Mississippi State and Ross University students with plans to expand to other accredited veterinary schools
- Students are provided hands-on experience working alongside our licensed veterinarians and provided free housing accommodations on our Mantua Veterinary Clinic property
- Community Outreach Events
- Dirthicks Corn Maze and participation at Dog Days!
- Our AACC staff joined the fun and spread awareness about our quality veterinary services while handing out stuffies for the pets attending. Proceeds from the dog admissions that day were donated to the Portage APL
