Mika

Mika's story is very special and hits close to home. Mika is a puppy of K9 Bagio whose handler was Joshua Miktarian, a fallen officer from Twinsburg who lost his life in the line of duty in 2008. Mika was donated to the city of Streetsboro and works alongside handler Det. Luke Nelson. Mika is a German Shepherd, born in May 2023, who began training at the early age of three months. She is trained in narcotics detection, article search, and tracking. When she's not working hard on her training, she enjoys playing fetch.... a lot of fetch (per Det. Nelson).
