Aaliyah

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Aaliyah has always carried a deep love for animals in her heart. From a young age she knew her path would lead to helping them feel better, and she's been pursuing that passion ever since. Currently enrolled in the Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine program at Maplewood Career Center, Aaliyah began practicing in September 2023 and earned her AVMA certification in May 2025. 

Through early in her career, Aaliyah already has a special interest in exotic animals and enjoys every opportunity to work with creatures big and small. Inspired by her mother's lifelong work as a nurse and driven by the memory of her father, who passed away from COVID in 2020, Aaliyah dedicates each milestone to him and the future she's building. 

At home, she shares her life with a lively bunch of pets: four dogs--Raina, Tejada, Canen, and Nova--and two chinchillas named Luffy and Chi-Chi. With six siblings and a heart full of purpose, Aaliyah brings compassion, dedications and bright energy to every animal she meets.
